Privacy policy
How MealHalo handles data in your kitchen. Last updated September 17, 2026.
Who this is for
MealHalo is a household meal planner. You sign in, join a kitchen, and we keep the data that kitchen needs to run.
This page is not medical advice. Numbers in the app are a household log, not a clinic record.
What we keep
Sign-in is handled by a third-party account service. They hold the usual login details. We keep enough to know which person belongs to which kitchen, plus names and invites for that kitchen.
Planning data lives with a third-party backend, tied to your family. People in the same kitchen can see what that kitchen shares. Some logs stay per person.
Other services
The site, the database, and sign-in each run on vendors we use to operate the product. If you ask the app to fetch something from elsewhere, or to draft an estimate, that request goes to the service that does that job. See How we use AI.
What we do not do
We do not sell kitchen data. We do not run ads against it. We do not train a MealHalo model on your meals.
Changing it or leaving
Data stays while your account is in that kitchen. You can edit or delete what the app lets you, and you can leave a family. Account close lives in the sign-in service.
If you want a copy of what we store, or deletion beyond the screens, write from the email on your account and say which kitchen.
Kids
MealHalo is not aimed at children under 13. Do not create an account for a child that young.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top and ask you to accept it again before you keep using the app.
