Terms of use
The rules for using MealHalo. Last updated September 17, 2026.
The deal
By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you join someone else's kitchen, you still agree for your own login.
What the app is
MealHalo is household software for meals. It counts what you log. It does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe, and it is not a substitute for a clinician.
Features can change. Parts of the app may fail when a browser or a third-party service is down.
Your kitchen
You need an account. You are responsible for who you invite and for what gets entered under your name. Shared kitchen data is visible to everyone in that family.
You keep rights in what you add. You give us a license to store, show, and back it up as needed to run the product for that kitchen, including for other members you invited.
Optional help
Some actions ask another service to fetch or guess. Only do that with content you are allowed to use. Optional AI estimates are described in How we use AI. If you save a guess, it is your log.
Don't
Do not break into other kitchens, scrape the service, overload it, or use it to harass people. Do not pass the tracker off as clinical software.
If something goes wrong
The app is provided as-is. Logging can be wrong and reminders can miss. We are not liable for missed meals, diet outcomes, or data you send elsewhere. To the extent a court requires a cap, it is the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim (which may be zero).
We can suspend an account that is abusing the service. You can stop using MealHalo and leave a family at any time.
Updates
We may change these terms. The date at the top is the current version. If we change them, we will ask you to accept again before you keep using the app.
